The Value of You
June 21, 2020
Welcome & Announcements
Thank you for worshipping remotely with us. This resource is meant to help the Melrose Chapel family share in worship for those times when we can't be together in person. May you be blessed today and always.
Call to Worship
God’s healing love is extended to us today!
God’s mercy is graciously given to us.
Let us rejoice in all that God is doing for us.
Let us open our hearts and spirits to God’s will.
Lord of great understanding and patience, be with us today as we listen to the Gospel story of the leper who was healed. Help us to understand that our focus needs to be on you and on our gratitude to you for all you do for us. Give us courage to be faithful disciples, and to reach out to you in every time of need, for we ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Be sure to join us on Zoom at 9:00 am on June 21 as we gather for a time of greeting, friendship, prayer, and reflection. Find the link to join at the bottom of this online worship page. Did you miss that time? Not to worry! A recording will be made and placed on this page as well.
Joys & Concerns
What's on your heart today? Do you have worries or concerns? Do you find things to be thankful for? Whatever is in your heart, God wants to hear it. Take this time to prayerfully reflect on your needs and those things for which you are thankful. When you've shared this in prayer and allowed God to sit with you a bit in this time, close your time of prayer with the Lord's Prayer or other words that are upon your heart:
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, Forever and ever. Amen.
If you have a prayer need that you would like to share, please consider submitting a prayer request here. Please ensure that you have appropriate permission to submit the need. If you need to speak with the pastor concerning this request, please indicate that in your request.
Tithes & Offering
Until we return to in-person worship, please consider mailing in your tithes and offerings. Let us share our gratitude for the grace we have received by giving freely to a world in need of joy, hope, and peace.
O God, we recognize that we have been blessed with great abundance. In offering these gifts, may we be strengthened to proclaim your faithfulness this day and always. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Consider listening to the following songs/hymns that echo our message for today:
He Touched Me
The Bridge (Casting Crowns)
Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior
May the love of God surround you. May the love of God uplift you. May the love of God stand with you through the challenges ahead. May the love of God convince you, in every situation, to love. Go now to love others, even as Christ loves you.
