Community Groups

Community groups are a great way to get connected to other people at Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church. They meet on a regular basis for a time of building friendships, Bible study, prayer, caregiving, and encouragement.

Bible Study Group
Sundays at 9:40 a.m. in the Heritage Room (#13)
This class uses God’s Holy Word as a study guide. Following the group’s choice, they spend time digging deep into subjects and books. With each portion of the Bible study, salvation is emphasized. Prayer requests are spoken and prayed over each week. Currently they are studying Interactions 2: Jesus.

Good News Group
Sundays at 9:40 a.m. in the Library
This class studies the entire Bible as it relates to our lives. Current events are often discussed in this informal class. Each member contributes ideas and life experiences to the discussion. The group uses the Cokesbury study Genesis to Revelations. For more information contact the church office at 224-1302.

Not-So-Young Adults
Sundays at 9:40 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall
This diversified group of men and women use a variety of studies and discussion thrives in an informal atmosphere. For more information contact Kathy Mixer at 228-1034.

ABC Study Group
Sundays at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall
This informal group studies the Bible and enjoys fellowship at the same time. A variety of contemporary studies are used to apply Biblical truths to modern life. For more information call Kathy Mixer at 228-1034 or kmixer@adams.net

Men’s Group
Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. in the Heritage Room (#13)
This is a mid-week boost of Christian fellowship and study. The current study focuses on Spiritual Warfare. The goal of the group is to encourage men to be better Christians and leaders. For more information contact the church office at 224-1302 or dkroeger@adams.net.

Women’s Bible Study
The focus of this group is to grow women’s knowledge and understanding of the bible and deepen their relationship with Jesus. For more information contact the church office at 224-1302.
